Sarah Whittington graduated from the University of Kansas in 1986 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and has been a registered Architect in Colorado since 1995. Looking for a recreational town where she could establish her practice, she moved to Salida in 1993 with her husband Mike. Sarah has worked throughout Chaffee County and the surrounding area, specializing in custom designed homes and local commercial projects. Working extensively in the Salida Historic District, Sarah has helped rejuvenize the commercial viability and the character of the downtown. Sarah’s firm puts strong emphasis on environmentally conscious design that reflects the style and feel of the surrounding community while addressing owners’ unique concerns and budget.

Phillip Gamache has worked with Architectural Services since 2004. Moving from Maine in 1999 to Salida, Colorado to work as a raft guide, Phil started working with Mike Whittington, Sarah's husband, at Independent Whitewater in May of 2000. Looking for stable work throughout the year, he was hired as a CAD Draftsmen with Architectural Services. Phil works closely with Sarah on all projects from the design stages, construction administration and through project completion.
Phil has an Architectural and Engineering Associate degree from Southern Maine Community College and has AutoCAD Professional certification. He is currently enrolled at Colorado State University - Pueblo in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management set to graduate in 2021.
